Diversity & the creative economy

symposium at montage laguna beach

The Laguna Beach LGBTQ Heritage & Culture Alliance, along with Visionary Sponsor and real estate investment firm Laguna Beach Company, and Title Sponsor, Bank of America, provided a platform for community members, business, civic and education leaders to learn how to take ‘Diversity’ from being an elusive catchword to being a prosperous future with clear benefits to the economics, social vitality and well-being for everyone.

World-renowned keynote speaker Richard Florida, authority on cultural diversity, creativity and economics, addressed increasing local and regional socio-economic disparities and challenges. Based on his proven model of 4T’s of economic development (Talent, Tolerance, Technology and Territorial Assets), Florida offered a bold prescription for more inclusive cities capable of ensuring economic growth and prosperity for all.

Attendees included 400+ leaders from business, civic, legislative, cultural, and education sectors from Laguna Beach and Orange County.

As part of its continued philanthropic mission, as the Executive Producer, Sitelines donated its services, as well as contributed Title Sponsor matching funds to underwrite the production.
